You screw a plug into a tread hole roughly 1/32 to 3/16 inch - a nail or a small screw - on a tubeless tire only, then get a professional repair. Buy it as the thing that lives in your glovebox, not the last fix your tire will ever need.
- SCREW IT IN WITH THE INCLUDED DRIVER - No jack, no tire removal, no glue. Pull the object out, load a plug onto the driver, and screw it into the hole with a firm clockwise turn - the screw-in type seats with a twist and the coated spiral threads grip the hole. Pop the driver off and the plug is seated. Most people do it at the roadside in a couple of minutes.
- TWO SIZES BECAUSE ONE DOES NOT FIT EVERY HOLE - You get 30 large plugs (0.59 x 0.23 in) for bigger holes from a bolt or road debris, and 30 small plugs (0.50 x 0.22 in) for a thin nail or tack - 60 total. A single size seeps on the wrong hole, so match the plug to the puncture. For a stronger, longer seal, add tire sealant (sold separately) the way you would with any plug.
- SOME PUNCTURES SEEP - HERE IS THE HONEST PART - A plug is a mechanical seal, not magic. On a clean tread hole it holds well; on an odd-shaped, worn, or angled hole it can weep air, which is why we say add sealant and see a pro. Check your tire pressure right after the repair and again the next day. If it keeps losing air, the tire needs a shop, not another plug.
